INTRODUCTION

Discover about the different metal AM techniques and find out how they work and what their strengths and limitations are.

DESCRIPTION

This course gives a basic level introduction to different Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques that can be used to process metals. More specifically, this course teaches about Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) techniques, Directed Energy Deposition (DED) techniques, Material Extrusion techniques and Material Jetting technique for metals. In this course the learners will learn about the working principle, work flow, advantages and disadvantages or limitations of the abovementioned technologies.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is for learners who want to discover the different metal additive manufacturing techniques that exist and who want to find out how these techniques work and which technique to choose for which cases. This course is useful for people from industry, going from engineers to managers from companies producing raw materials and equipment for metal AM, the AM companies themselves (new recruits) or from sectors where the use of AM parts is being introduced (medical, aerospace, automotive, …).
