The 3D ACCELERATOR-AMASI project develops a hybrid learning environment for Additive Manufacturing including both virtual on-line learning as well as face-to-face learning with teachers and equipment. The mainstream education system is insufficient in supporting the industry with the skills needed to implement the technology. The environment is built to let all stakeholders, from business to R&D, to benefit from the training.
The main target is to increase the knowledge in companies, to allow a technological revolution to become the new reality. The project will engage stakeholders (powder manufacturers, 3D printers and experts) as well as the learning companies and their employees/users in the project, and use modern software design methodologies, to ensure that the learning environment is designed in such a way that it is relevant to both the users/learners and other stakeholders.
